Privacy Policy

Throughline is an operations platform provided by Lane Compliance Systems ("Throughline," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and application, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Throughline so that each company's data is isolated to that company; we do not sell your data.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create a workspace we collect your name, work email, company name, and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Workspace content. The records you enter — customers, deals, quotes, invoices, appointments, service tickets, files, and activity — are stored so your team can use them.
• Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and subscription status; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Technical information. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

• To create and operate your workspace and provide the features you use.
• To process your subscription and setup payments.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
• To communicate with you about your account, billing, and material changes to the service.

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us run Throughline, under agreements that limit their use of it:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Netlify — application hosting and content delivery.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service. We do not sell personal information.

Data isolation & security

Each company's records are protected by row-level security so members of one workspace cannot read another's data. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

Data retention

We keep your workspace data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain data for a limited period to allow reactivation and to meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted. You may request deletion of your workspace and associated data at any time (see Contact).

Your choices & rights

• Access, correct, or export the records in your workspace directly in the app.
• Request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor verified requests to access or delete personal information.

Children

Throughline is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date, and where appropriate we will notify account owners.
